I guess everyone here has a special time every year like
birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations. I also bet that everyone here
also has a special holiday that they also like, for example Christmas and New
Year. But for me I guess I would have to say as my favorite time of the year is
our town fiesta.
Even though I live in a small town inside Manila our town
host one the biggest fiesta in the whole metro. Our fiesta always happens on
the 2nd Sunday of February and on the 29th of July.
Every
fiesta our family usually cooks exquisite foods like “Menudo”, “Giniling” and “Sopas”
if we have the time. If we unfortunate reason that we are unable to cook foods,
we sometimes order one of our towns delicacies like “Puto”, “Giniling” and
lastly our most famous “Balut”. We usually get a lot of visitors whenever we
have a fiesta in our town.
Normally our visitors are our friends; co-workers,
relatives, and even sometimes some person just want to meet our parents. During our fiesta we normally drink beer and
alcoholic beverages along with my dad but sometimes I also tend to go outside
of our house and just wonder along our town to see what is happening. I also
tend to go to some of my classmates’ house and sometimes eat there.
Since our fiesta happens twice a year, I rarely get bored
because our fiesta is somewhat unique and very different from other places which
is why this Is my favorite time of year.
